Operation Process
1. Preparation
Prepare eight sheets of 7×9 cm thin transfer membrane filter paper, or two sheets of thick filter paper of the same size, along with one 7×9 cm PVDF membrane.
For optimal results, use a PVDF membrane with a pore size of 0.45 μm for proteins greater than 20 kDa, and 0.2 μm for proteins smaller than 20 kDa.
2. Activation
Before use, activate the PVDF membrane by immersing it in methanol for approximately 2 minutes.
3. Assembly
Assemble the transfer stack in the following order:
Positive electrode (+) → sponge → filter paper → transfer membrane → gel → filter paper → sponge → negative electrode (–).
Ensure that all layers are properly aligned and free of air bubbles. The red side represents the positive (+) electrode, and the black side represents the negative (–) electrode.
Insert the assembled transfer clip into the transfer core, matching red to red and black to black. Each transfer core can accommodate two transfer clips simultaneously.
